The first thing you need to do to make this happen is to find yourself a piece of land that you will be able to move to. To be gridless, you are going to have to move. That means building a place to live. There are lots of pieces of land that farmers and other land owners are willing to sell at reduced prices in these times, so do some research and find those land plots.

The next thing you will have to do after getting that land is creating a place to live. You can build a home that will use all your energy you use wisely and efficiently. You are going to need electricity, so you are going to have to use solar panels as your energy source.

These panels use the endless energy from the sun and convert it into free and bountiful electricity. By purchasing and making that investment in these panels, you will never have to use an electric company again. What a way to live. Solar energy will be able to run every single light and appliance in your house. You will even be able to heat up water for bathing, washing clothes, and more.

You will have to design your home in such a way that you are not using the water company for your source of water. You will need to have a well dug in order to get your water. Your solar panels will be able to run that water pump so you will never run out of that water. Now, you have free water, and, you have free electricity. This is a freedom that no one can put a price tag on.

These homemade solar panels will not compromise your use of technology. You will still be able to run laptop or desktop computers to stay in touch with the outside world. You will be able to run a TV, or radio if you wish. But, no longer are you at the mercy of any power company. You are the electric company for your own home.

You will have endless energy, and at no cost. It will have paid for itself over a short time. This is a great way to get yourself of the grid. I have personally managed to build my own home DIY electricity system simply following a DIY guide online and would highly recommend it.
